“Save Our Souls” 1) We are retiring with only one promotion in the service career while our counterparts are getting upto 6 promotions.
2) Not only that, we are forced to work under our juniors of Customs.
3) To remove our stagnation, the parity with following common entry counterparts may kindly be ascertained-
i) Intra-organisational counterparts of Customs,
ii) Intra-departmental counterparts of CBDT
and
iii) Inter-departmental counterparts of CSS etc.
by
time bound promotions scheme
or
creation of super-numeratory posts
or
notional promotions
or
any other suitable measure/s.
4) Our counterparts are easily entering PB-4 while we are retiring in PB-2. We may also kindly be retired in PB-4.
5) We and our families will be ever-grateful of your kindself to save our souls.
6) We are the Superintendents of Central Excise unfortunately joining the job as Inspector of Central Excise.

One more meeting was held with the Hon'ble Minister, DOPT on 26.01.2012. He was apprised that the CR is being tremendously delayed and our officers are retiring every month without promotion. (A) Immediate release of the cadre restructuring posts without any cut & parity with the other counterparts either in the cadre restructuring or independent of it.
(B) Grade pay of Rs. 5,400/- in PB3 w.e.f. the date of the grant of this grade pay/equivalent pay scale to the other analogous posts & implementation of para 7.15.24 of 6th CPC report.
(C) At least a grade pay of Rs. 6,600-/ & 7,600/- under MACPS after 20 & 30 years of service respectively to an officer recruited as direct Inspector, if not got 3 functional promotions and same way the respective grade pays to the promotee officers in accordance of their number of promotions.
(D) Strong staff grievances redressal mechanism in the form of minuted meetings at regular intervals.
